Dr. Killi Kruparani was born in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh on 19th November, 1965. She was a Medical Practitioner and got married to doctor. She has two sons.

As the Convenor of Dr. Ram Mohan Rao Charitable Trust, Dr. Killi Kruparani had been serving the people for the last 20 years by (i) providing free drinking water supply in rural areas; (ii) free medical camps; (iii) free cataract operations to the blind; (iv) construction and renovation of temples, churches and masjids; and (v) encouraging students by conducting talent tests.

In May 2009, Dr. Killi Kruparani was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from Srikakulam Constituency in Andhra Pradesh, defeating the Ex. Union Cabinet Minister, Late Shri Yerran Naidu. She remained a Member of Committee on Health & Family Welfare, Member of the Consultative Committee in the Ministry of External Affairs and also a Member of the Central Social Welfare Board. She is now serving as Minister of State in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

Dr. Kruparani is an avid reader and has been fond of studying books. She has written a book titled 'The 100 years saga of Nehru's Family'. She is widely travelled and visited countries like U.K., U.S.A. France etc. In December 2009, she attended the South-Asia initiative on Women and HIV/AIDS policy-making at Washington. She likes to keep abreast of current political and economic affairs, both within and outside India.
